Get Ripped workouts

Hi!
Does anyone else pick and choose their favorite exercises from the Get ripped workouts? For me, I do this alot! I love {Get Ripped To the Core}7639^ but I feel like it doesn't give me a tough enough bicep section so I add in the biceps from either {Get Ripped Slim and lean}7629^ or Get {Ripped & Chiseled}7900^.  I also always add the skull crushers and pull overs from {Get Ripped and Chiseled}7900^.  I also always skip the ab work and do Cathe's {Core Max}7485^ or Joyce Vedral ab work.  Anyone else?

    Hey Aerobicgirl.  I sorta do that too.  I skip the lower body section of {Ripped and Chiseled}7900^ and usually use ankle weights and do the floor work legs of Get Ripped (the first one).  I also find that lately with Get Ripped I've been really upping my weights and lowering the tempo when she does singles...  hmm, I wonder if I'm defeating the purpose.   Of all of her videos, I keep going back to {Ripped and Chiseled}7900^ and {Get Ripped}7450^.  I've found that, for me, the compound exercises in {Ripped to the Core}7639^, {Slim and Lean}7629^, and {Ripped 1000}7702^ don't work for me.  As for ab work, I'm bad, I don't do it at all except for planks.  :(

    Hi there! Im really having great results with jari,Ill do her lowerbody sections 3-4 times week and arms 2-3.  I know there is girls that tell me to lift heavy and low reps for my lowerbody but when I do it doesnt help me slim down . It could be that Im a pear and hold more fat in the lowerbody section. i use 2- 15 pound weights or  2- 20 pound weights.  For upperbody I like to rotate doing heavyweights with Jari,Cathe,and kathy smith and tamilee webb. I also dont do the ab work and do other dvds! Take Care!

    Hi everyone!  Haven't posted in ages ! It's good to be back.

    It's so funny about Jari's workouts.  I just started doing them again.  I got so bored a while ago and just rediscovered them.  I've been doing the original, {RTTC}7639^ and {1000}7702^.  This morning I did the original but skipped the abs and plan to do a yoga workout that has abs in it.  Probably Baron Baptiste's Core Power.

    Hello!! I have a question about ripped!! workouts. I have all of them exept the first one. I have upped my weights in these. I now use like 10's,12's,15's. I don't feel that it is working anymore. I have switched over to cathe's workouts. If I go back to ripped and use light weight what will it do for me? I'm used to using heavy weights but if I switch will it shock my body and give me good results? What if I don't feel I'm getting a good workout?

    hi annelaw 79,I like to rotate my workouts with jari and cathe,I was doing jari for 4 weeks and now back with cathe and ouch
    I sure can feel it today very sore! I did with jari 5-10 pounds and now back up with cathe 5-20 pounds,The only thing I notice is that my arms got about 1/4-1/2 inch smaller so I like to switch it up and go light for so many weeks and back up again,I would think your arm rountine will probably adapt to the same exercises over and over again. but I could be wrong. take care!

    I love using Ripped exercises in my Yoga classes. For example I took the exercise on the stepper from {Ripped to the Core}7639^ where they lift the leg to incorporate the abs. I now go to Chair in Yoga and then stand up as I lift a leg (flex foot), going slowly you really feel it. I also take the wide leg squats with weights coming to collar (can't remember which Ripped this one is in) - I add a heel lift as we go down and then raise the weights to collar as we come up. Jari is inspiring to me, she's no nonsence and I can use her exercises in other areas.

    To Annelaw79 -- I would just take a break from Jari's style entirely and switch up your sculpt to low-rep heavy, smaller focus (like Cathe's {4DS}7884^) or to Barre/Squeeze style sculpt for a while.  I love Jari, and it gives me major definition but sometimes my body just gets used to the workouts.  Once I have been "off" Jari for a month or so then come back to it, I always get DOMS, especially from {S&L}7629^ and {R&C}7900^.  Have a great day!

    Thank you Sam, and Dawn. I started doing squeeze this week. I've had it for about a month but I stopped doing it after a week. I don't know why because ouch!!! it hurts so bad but oh so good!! LOL!! Anyway, I think I might do this and cardio of course for 6 weeks and see what it does. I might also add in a reach day. I will keep you posted on how this works out.     Sam, I'm sorry I meant to ask you, do you get good results switching with Jari? I have purchased a lot of dvd's lately and haven't really had time to do all of them. Like I said right now I am doing {squeeze}7836^ but after {squeeze}7836^ I think I might do cathe's {pyramid upper and lower body}7431^. I just got it and haven't done it yet so we'll see.

    I get MAJOR results from switching between Jari workouts and other sculpts.  Because I do so many types of workouts it is hard for me to say what does what to me LOL!!!  But When I am doing Jari, I notice my definition gets better.  {Squeeze}7836^ (I feel) leaned out my upper body.  And P90X workouts and Cathe's {4 Day Split}7884^ upped my strength and made my shoulders "pop" out :)  Interval workouts like Cathe's {Body Max 2}7691^, {Drill Max}7681^, {LIC}7701^ -- increased my endurance.  I always come back to Jari though.  Nothing makes my muscles feel and look as good as her workouts, in my own humble opinion!

    Ok, I will let you know. I think after my cathe rotation I might go back to Jari again and see what it does.

    This sounds like a great rotation  rotine because jari is more endurance  weight training and cathe is more building muscle mass,Ive been having great results so far take care

    What workouts do you guys like for lower body?  Are Jari's good for lower body?

    {Jari's S&L}7629^ is fantastic for me for lower body.  {R&C}7900^ is "OK" but a bit short (more for upper body in this one).  {Ripped 1000}7702^ is awesome -- those pulsed squat-dips of the step KILL my quads.  But honestly the best lower body weight workout in my humble opinion is {Cathe's Butts & Guts}7711^ (I don't have {Gym Style Legs}7505^ or {Pyramid LB}7431^ which I have also heard are wonderful).  I also find {Squeeze}7836^ to be brilliant in an entirely different way.  A few runner-up mentions are P90X Legs & Back, Slim in 6 Burn It Up (but BORING IMO), Amy Bento's APX, FIRM Classic Parts {Standing Legs}7024^...  And my old go-to for a 20 minute LB workout with a lot of bang for its buck -- {Kathy Smith Lift Weights to Lose Weight}7039^.  Wow I rambled there...  Sorry gals/guys!  LOL!

    The most lower body work in the Ripped workouts is found in {Ripped to the Core}7639^ and {Ripped 1000}7702^.  Both of these workouts have compound moves, which means the lower body is getting worked for nearly every exercise (plank and supine work excluded).

    With Jari my definition is much better- I slim down more, instead of bulk up- {Slim and Lean}7629^ and {Ripped 1000}7702^ have given me best results for leaner legs and leaner arms. However in {Slim and Lean}7629^ the upper body is not worked as much as say in Kelly's {NYC}7752^ or Cathe's {Drill Max}7681^. But for lower body {S&L}7629^ is wonderful, as well as Ripped 1000. I only own Cathe's {Drill Max}7681^, {Bodymax2}7691^ and some of her older workouts with circuit training. Cathe seems to lift heavier and Jari is lighter. I personally like longer reps with lighter weight- but I will do Jari/ Kelly one week then Cathe and Sharon Twombly {ABA}7835^ and others the next week- so I rotate every other week with these.

    p.s {Ripped to the Core}7639^ is great as well, however I don't find myself doing that one as often.

    If I am crunched for time or just want to work upper or lower I will pick and choose for the ripped workout. I have notice definition in my shoulders - I have never seen that before. Also don't know if anyone else has noticed this but my butt from the outside in LOL
