Keeping resistance bands from sticking together

I really like Mari Winsor's new "{Pilates For Pink}5552^" video. The resistance band is helping me see fast results. However, I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems with their resistance bands sticking together. I've found sprinkling powder on mine helps to unstick it and keeps it this way for about two workouts, but then it's also hard to grip the band correctly with the powder on it. Any suggestions?

Hey Angie, I see no one really has an answer for you, and I know that can be frustrating.  I looked on the web to try and find an answer to your question, but no luck.  You said you put baby powder on it, and I did find something about that in my search.  It suggested cleaning it by putting the band into a ziploc bag w/ baby powder and then wiping it down with a damp cloth. I have 3 of these bands and I've never had this problem.  Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Thank you for at least answering. I will just keep trying the powder. It seems to work o.k.  Angie] I am so new to all of this format stuff. Please excuse any mistakes!

I keep mine in a ziplock bag too, and sprinkle baby powder in the bag on the bands every now and then, close the bag, and shake it.  I haven't had a problem with mine so far.  Maybe you're using too much powder if that is making it slippery?  Just a light dusting is all you need.  Not sure if that is what's going on or not though?  Maybe Collage will reply too.

Thanks, Andelyn! I'll give your suggestion a try with putting the band in a ziploc bag. Maybe I am using too much powder? I'll lighten up & see what happens. Angie

Hi, again, fitchick77! I am still having trouble with the pink band that came with my Mari Winsor "{Pilates For Pink}5552^" D.V.D. I bought some other bands and no problem with them sticking together. I'm still having to use powder on the pink one; I just don't powder the ends where I grip. Maybe it's the type of rubber they used to manufacture it. It seems thinner than the other ones I bought.
