Best Ab Workout

Hello - I am new to the forum, but not new to Collage Video, or fitness. My question is, I am turning the big (gulp) 50 in March, and want to improve my abs for a trip to Mexico that we leave for Feb 22. I am in pretty good shape, but would like firmer abs. What ab workout can anyone suggest that gives the best results - and fast too? (is this too much to ask for? :)

Thanks!

I love {Core Max}7485^ (you need an 8 pound medicine ball- you could go lighter than 8 if you want- and a stability ball). I think this dvd gives good bang for the buck- there are 3 workouts on there, and three premixes. And Cathe knows how to work those abs and obliques!

If you are interested in Pilates ab work, it is very effective as well. I like some of the Stott pilates, but Moira is not a favorite on this forum. I can understand that since her teaching style is pretty dry. But the moves are very "Joseph Pilates" pilates.

There's a good 10 Minute Solution dvd called {Blast Off Belly Fat}7745^ that has different types of ab workouts- 5 in total, and it is pretty good. It is not as advanced as Lotte Berk Method's {Hip Hugger Abs}7085^ (which is very tough and not at all fun- and you have to have perfect form or it feels like it isn't working).

If you like Kari Anderson, she has {Curl}7048^, which is pretty good but I find it lacks lower ab work. It seems to hit me in the mid and upper abs. HtH!

Thanks for your advice! Currently I am rotating Jari Love's tapes, newer Firm ones, and last night I pulled out Gunnar Peterson's Core workouts - - which feature Brooke Burke (now, that is a body I'd die to have!), I did the Ab Assault one... I can feel it today, but not sure how effective it is (more pain may set in as the day goes on!) Thanks again!

Just placed my order for {Core Max}7485^, and the 10-minute solution - belly blast! I will use them diligently, and pray for flat, toned abs!

I hope you love them! I know that they have both helped my core get stronger, flatter and more cut. Also, I think Tracy Effinger's workouts in general (not just her ab work) have helped with this too.
