Cathe q??

I have been looking at several Cathe workouts but the price stills stops me form putting them on my wish list.I have the Ripped series and am looking for something completely different. I was checking out {Slow and Heavy}7652^ - then {Butt and Guts}7711^ - now the Gym series and with that I thought of switching the Leg one to {Butt and Guts}7711^  (inner thighs and top of legs need work). I am still very iffy about Cathe. Should I just get over it or can you suggest something else. I have some Patrick, and  Mindy, plus some body bar. {brand new butt}7448^ and {brand new butt plus pilates}7169^. and {Squeeze}7836^ on my wish list. Please help!

I can understand your trepidation regarding the price of Cathe's workouts.  I feel like are worth the money though because they are probably the most advanced workouts out there (IMO).  Also, all her workouts have premixes which I feel add to the variety and ways that you can use her workouts.

I love the Gym Style Series.  I have gotten stronger using these workouts and have seen more definition.  I actually prefer {Gym Style Legs}7505^ over {Butt and Guts}7711^.  For some reason, I connected more with the {Gym Style Legs}7505^.  It's challenging plus you get a thorough leg workout.  Of course, there is no ab section with the Gym Style Series but if I want an ab workout, I'll use another one of her workouts.

I think once you try Cathe you'll really like her workouts and realize that it's worth the price.

I had the same trepidation when I first wanted to try a Cathe workout.  Now I am one of the "converted"!  Her workouts are pricey, but the premix variations make it so worth it -- it is like getting several workouts in one.  Plus the music, production and cuing are (IMO) unsurpassed by any workout series out there.  I love {Butts and Guts}7711^ -- but I don't have Gym Style (on my list of future purchases).  There are SO many options in the premixes and chapters available.  And if you find it too advanced, go way lighter at first.  That is what I did.  I honestly don't find her weight workouts more challenging than Ripped -- just different.  My fave Cathe workouts are her Circuits and Cardio/Weights mixes like {Drill Max}7681^, {Body Max 2}7691^, {Low Impact Circuit}7701^, {4 Day Split Series}7884^, etc -- because the premixes allow for weights or cardio only, uper or lower body only, circuits, etc.  I think whatever you decide on, though, you will be thrilled.  I just love Cathe -- and I started using Cathe a while back when I was still overweight and not nearly as fit as I am now.  I attribute my current fitness level in part to Cathe (and RIpped, Firm, P90X, etc) -- and now I don't know what I would do without her!!!

The price is worth it. She puts alot into the production with the premixes, making sure everything is perfect in the workouts (rep counts, even reps), the music and makes sure you are getting a tough workout for your money.

While the Ripped workouts are pretty good workouts for the money spent, you don't get the premixes. If you are looking for something different you can try Cathe's circuit training workouts...bootcamp or drill max type workouts. Her {Drill Max}7681^/ {Butts & Guts]7711^/ {BodyMax 2}7691^/ {Low Impact Circuit}7701^ are her most fun workouts to date.

I also just tried Cathe for the first time this year (never thought I would because of her difficulty level and the cost).  I am happy with the ones I have.  I don't have "weight" workouts though.  Just the kickboxing ones {Kick Max}7425^ and {Kick Punch and Crunch}7535^ (haven't even tried the "legs and glutes" part), and also some of her more beg/intermediate level step - the {Low Impact Step}7521^, {Basic Step and Body Fusion}7411^ (my fav so far of Cathe - the Body Fusion workout), and also Low Max which I haven't really used much yet.

I agree they are all well made (well, the few I've tried I can speak for) and very good quality.  And so far I've noticed all the reps are even on both sides - my pet peeve is when something is not even!  So, I wouldn't hesitate to try one of hers, you just never know what you might be missing and hopefully you'll really like it.

I agree shes worth every penny love her background music and weight training workouts,I dont do her step dvds. I got great results with her dvds for my arms but I tend to stay away from the lowerbody sections and do them with jari or on my own. I tend to get bigger could be my bodytype.  I love the challenge! Shes very good!!!

    Hi LRM!
I started with {Basic Step/Body Fusion}7411^, and these I think anyone can do all the way through -- but it's a good way to "ease into" Cathe's style and cuing.  But Body Fusion got me winded back then -- believe me!!!  Now I enjoy it for lighter days -- but I appreciate what a great workout it is -- and it has add-ons too -- 20 mins each upper & lower body, and 10 min abs.  This DVD is the one I would recommend starting with.  Next I got {Cathe Low Impact Step}7521^ and {High Step Circuit}7441^.  The cardio iin Low Impact Step is tougher and SLIGHTLY more complex than BS/BF.  But doable for intermediates and even beginners definitely.  THe sculpt segment included on this one is lighter, and pretty fun.  Definitely geared for beginners and low intermediates.  High Step Circuit is a fantastic workout for beginners/intermediates -- eases you into Cathe's Circuit Workouts.  After you have tried (and LOVED) those ones, try {Low Impact Circuit}7701^.  This is easier than most Cathe Circuits, and you will be thrilled with the premix options, the music, etc.  And it's Low Impact!!  Just go lighter than she does with the weights, and use a 6" step instead of 8".  {Butts & Guts}7711^ and {Muscle Max}7435^ are good weighted workouts to start with.  You can make these easier by lightening up on the weights!!    From there I bet you'll be hooked!!  Hope I helped a bit and didn't ramble too much, but I can't say enough good things about Cathe.
    Cheers,
    Sam

Cathe is the perfect example of something I would never order anywhere but Collage.  I just ordered {Butts and Guts}7711^.  I finally talked myself into by saying that if I didn't like it, I could always trade it for two other non-Cathe things on my list!
